Enhanced Provision

Swimming Lessons

Once your child turns two, they will have access to swimming lessons, at our onsite pool, once a week until they attend school (additional charge will apply).

These lessons are taken by qualified swim instructors and out of the pool they remain under our supervision for changing and returning to and from nursery.

Outings to the Park

We are very lucky to have a park right on our door step. During the summer months we regularly take the children on outings to the park where they will learn to run, jump and climb using the play equipment available.

Visits out to the wider Community

We are very lucky to have excellent community links which could

involve a trip to the fire station, a visit to a care home, a trip to

the local community allotment to help out or

for the police to visit with their police car.

Rhyme Time and a visit to the local Library

Research has shown that exposure to books and singing at an early age has proven to help with the development of speech and language. Having Great Baddow library local to us means that we can take the children to choose books and join in with rhyme time regularly.

Forest School and Nature Walks

We are so lucky to be based in the grounds of Meadgate school and therefore have access to their extensive grounds and woods for nature walks and to explore the natural environment. We also have been offered to work in partnership with the school to turn a disused part of their grounds into a Forest school with a pond, tree house,  den  and bonfire building.
